Csf1r-associated Sos1 mediates exchange of GTP for GDP bound to Ras
In response to the activation of Csf1r by Csf1, Sos1 bound to the activated Csf1r via Grb2 promotes Ras to exchange of GDP for GTP (Büscher et al. 1995, Lee and States 2000, Yu et al. 2012). Activated Ras promotes cell proliferation via ERK. Myeloid cells contain the Kras isoform of Ras.
