Csf1 dimer binds Csf1r
Csf1r binds with its extracellular D2 and D3 domains to Csf1 (Chen et al. 2008) or Il-34 (Chihara et al. 2010). One Csf1 subunit binds to one Csf1r molecule, the second Csf1 subunit binds another Csf1r molecule, resulting in dimerization of Csf1r by interaction of the D4 and D5 domains of Csf1r (Chen et al. 2008).
