BRD7 is a pBAF-specific component (Kaeser et al, 2008; Mashtalir et al, 2018; Mashtalir et al, 2020; Yuan et al, 2022; Wang et al, 2022; Michel et al, 2018). BRD7 is a bromodomain-containing protein that binds to acetylated histones (Peng et al, 2006; Sun et al, 2007; Filippakopoulos et al, 2012; Flynn et al, 2015). Deletion analysis suggests that BRD7 is recruited after ARID2 and before recruitment of the ATPase catalytic module (Mashtalir et al, 2018; Mashtalir et al, 2020).
