MITF-M binds to the promoter of the CEACAM1 gene as assessed by chromatin immunoprecipitation (Strub et al, 2011; Ullrich et al, 2015). MITF-M-dependent expression of CEACAM1 contributes to cell adhesion and invasiveness, particularly in melanoma (Ullrich et al, 2015; reviewed in Goding and Arnheiter, 2019).
