By chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) (Cowger et al. 2007, Si et al. 2019) and electromobility shift assay (EMSA) (Nunez et al. 2012), ZNF217 binds to the promoter of the CDH1 gene, recruiting histone demethylase KDM1A (LSD1) (Cowger et la. 2007, Si et al. 2019) and possibly also CTBP1 and RCOR1 (CoREST) (Cowger et al. 2007).
