text Once the complex of transcobalamin 2 and cobalamins (RCbl) bound to CD320 receptor (TCN2:RCbl:CD320) is internalised by endocytosis, CD320 dissociates, possibly facilitated by the low affinity of CD320 for TCN2 at acidic pH (Alam et al. 2016), to return to the plasma membrane (Youngdahl Turner et al. 1979), while TCN2:RCbl is delivered to lysosomes and degraded, releasing RCbl.
