p-S173 MITF-M binds YWHA dimers
Based on co-IP and GST pulldown studies in COS-7 cells, MITF-M binds to dimers of 14-3-3 proteins YWHAZ, E, B, H and G. Binding is enhanced by MARK3/CTAK1-dependent phosphorylation of S173, and disrupted by treatment of cells with CSF or TNFSF11 (also known as RANKL) (Bronisz et al, 2006).
