Activated AKT1 phosphorylates Runx2
Recombinant human AKT1 phosphorylates recombinant mouse Runx2 isoform 5 (Runx2-5), associated with endogenous human CBFB, at serine residue S203 and threonine residues T205 and T207. AKT1 target sites in Runx2-5 are evolutionarily conserved and match S196, T198 and T200 in human RUNX2. Mouse Runx2-5 is 97% identical to human RUNX2 (Pande et al. 2013).
