mouse Disp2 binds SHH N-terminal fragment
Mouse Disp2 binds to human SHH as assessed by co-immunoprecipitation after in vivo crosslinking in intact cells. Disp2 binds to the cholesterol moiety on SHH through its first extracellular loop and disruption of the interaction abrogates long range but not short range Hh signaling (Tukachinsky et al, 2012; Creanga et al, 2012)
