Hnf1b binds the Irx2 gene
Hnf1b binds several conserved sites between the Irx1 and Irx2 genes and activates expression of Irx2 in the intermediate region of the S-shaped body (Heliot et al. 2013). Chromatin in the intergenic region appears to form a loop that brings Hnf1b to within 587 bp of the Irx2 transcription start site (Heliot et al. 2013).
