Dll3 binds Notch1
Dll3 interacts with Notch1 when the two proteins are expressed in the same cell (Ladi et al. 2005). The interaction occurs in endosomes and targets Notch1 for degradation in lysosomes before Notch1 can be presented at the cell surface, resulting in an inhibition of signaling by Notch1 (Chapman et al. 2011).
