An unknown cytochrome P450 hydroxylates decanoate (C10 fatty acid, capric acid) to 10-hydroxydecanoate (Gregersen et al., 1983). As CYP4A11 hydroxylates C12 fatty acid (dodecanoate) (Powell et al., 1996) it is likely to catalyze the same reaction with C10.
