Dengue NS5 is S-glutathionylated at Cys665, Cys780 and Cys847 (Cys-3156, -3271, -3338 in the polyprotein) (Saisawang et al., 2018). The modification can occur through chemical mechanisms or be driven by enzymes such as glutathione S-transferase π (GSTπ) and glutaredoxin (Grx) (reviewed by Kukulage et al., 2022).
