TGFBR3 promoter contains several GC box, Sp1 binding sequences with several possible transcription start sites. (Ji et al, 1999 and Lopez-Casillas et al, 2003). Sp1 region is conserved in the TGBFR3 promoter region in both humans and mice. (Hempel et al, 2008).
