Based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) experiments using mouse recombinant proteins, CDH11 forms heterotypic trans dimers with CDH8 (Brasch et al. 2018). This finding is supported by the mixed cell-aggregation assay in which mouse L-fibroblasts expressing recombinant human CDH11 were shown to aggregate with mouse L-fibroblasts expressing recombinant human CDH8 (Shimoyama et al. 2000).
