Protein P binds to the cellular phosphatase PP1 complex, which recruits it to viral inclusion bodies. Dephosphorylation of protein M2-1, which is catalyzed by a complex formed between P and the PP1 complex, is required, in a cyclic manner, for efficient viral transcription (Richard et al, 2018).
