SRC is phosphorylated on tyrosine 419 and tyrosine 216 downstream of activated ALK (Cussac et al, 2004). SRC signaling contributes to cellular proliferation, potentially through GRB2-SOS1 mediated RAS activation, although this has not been explicitly demonstrated (Cussac et al, 2004; reviewed in Chiarle et al, 2008; Palmer et al, 2009).
