WNT5A-dependent phosphorylation of DVL2 by PKC is required for the internalization of FZD4 (Chen et al, 2003; Yu et al, 2007). Endogenous PKC alpha beta and gamma co-immunoprecipitate with myc-DVL2, and phosphorylation increases the association with beta-arrestin 2 (ARRB2) (Chen et al, 2003).
