Neuropeptide S receptor (NPSR) is also called G protein-coupled receptor for asthma susceptibility (GPRA) and GPR154. NPSR is activated by neuropeptide S (NPS), a bioactive peptide that modulates stress and arousal. NPSR is thought to be Gs and Gq coupled (Gupte et al. 2004).
