Carbohydrate sulfotransferase 15 (CHST15) catalyses the transfer of one or more sulfate ions from PAPS to the C-6 hydroxyl group of the GalNAc 4-sulfate residue of chondroitin 4-sulfate (C4S) (Ohtake et al. 2003).
