The DTSC1/2 complex antagonizes the amino-acid-TOR signaling pathway. DTSC1/2 complex has a GTPase-activating protein domain (GAP). DRheb (a small GTPase called Ras homologue enriched in brain) is a target for DTSC2 GAP activity. As DRheb is a downstream effector from DTSC1/2, its inhibition by DTSC1/2 results in growth inhibition.
