NFATC2 (NFAT1) binds the promoter of the IL13 gene and interacts with GATA3 (Yao et al. 2012). GATA3, NFATC2, CHD4, and EP300 enhance transcription of IL13 (Yao et al. 2012, inferred from mouse homologs in Kishikawa et al. 2001, Yamashita et al. 2002, Sasaki et al. 2013). GATA3, YY1, ETS1, POU2F1 (OCT1), POU2F2 (OCT2), BATF, SATB1, IRF4, SMARCA4, and STAT6 bound to the locus control region (LCR) also enhance expression.
