text	Phosphoryated Bmal1:Clock heterodimers bind two E-boxes in the promoter of the Cry2 gene and recruit the histone methyltransferase Kmt2a (Mll1) and the histone acetyltransferase Crebbp (Cbp) (Rey et al 2011, Koike et al. 2012). Kmt2a interacts with Clock (Katada and Sassone-Corsi 2010) and Crebbp interacts with Bmal1 (Garg et al. 2019). Kmt2a is part of larger Mll1 complexes, however the binding of other components of the Mll1 complexes has not been demonstrated.
