text	In the immune system, Sema4D/CD100 binds CD72 to mediate B-cell-B-cell, B-cell-T-cell and T-cell-dendritic cell interactions and there by regulates B-cell and T-cell activation. In B-cells, this interaction directs the dissociation of SHP-1 from the CD72 cytoplasmic domain and enhances their activation.
