| text | The cytosolic protein beta-catenin is known as a transcriptional cofactor in Wnt signaling pathway. Beta-catenin has been also implicated in LRRFIP1-mediated induction of type I IFN. Beta-catenin was shown to bind Lrrfip1 in L. monocytogenes-infected mouse macrophages but not in resting macrophages (Yang P et al 2010). The interaction of beta-catenin and LRRFIP1 was also reported for human proteins when they were co-expressed in human embryonic kidney 293T (HEK293T) cells followed by co-immunoprecipitation assay. The co-immunoprecipitation results were consistent with the GST-pulldown data (Lee YH and Stallcup MR 2006). |
