Cox7a1 gene expression is positively regulated by Ebf2
In mouse brown and beige adipocyte lineages Cox7a1 gene expression is positively regulated by the transcription factor Ebf2 (Rajakumari et al. 2013; Wang et al. 2014; Stine et al. 2016). Loss of Ebf2 leads to a significant reduction in the level of active chromatin mark H3K27ac and RNA Pol II localization at the Cox7a1 gene (Shapira et al. 2017). The level of Blnc1 lncRNA which acts as a cofactor for Ebf2 positively correlates with Cox7a1 mRNA level (Zhao et al. 2014).
