Expression of Klf5
In mouse 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes, increased expression of Klf5 occurs after activation of the transcription factors Cebpb and Cebpd during differentiation and activation of Klf5 depends on Cebpb and Cebpd (Oishi et al. 2005). Both Cebpb and Cebpd bind the promoter of the Klf55 gene 411 bp upstream of the site of transcription initiation and activate transcription of Klf5 (Oishi et al. 2005).
