NFE2L2 regulates its own expression by interacting with its own promoter which contains ARE elements. ChIP and EMSA assay is conducted to validate the same (Kwak et al, 2002). This self-regulatory loop helps to build up the NFE2L2 response in stress conditions and provides protective support.
