The tumor suppressor CDKN1B (p27Kip1) binds CIT (citron kinase) and prevents its association with RHO GTPases. CDKN1B and CIT colocalize at the contractile ring and mid-body of dividing cells and it is thought that CDKN1B controls cytokinesis by regulating CIT activation (Serres et al. 2012).
