tfap2a binds the pax3 gene
Tfap2a binds the promoter of the pax3 gene upstream of the pax3 coding region (de Croze et al. 2011). Tfap2a appears to mediate Wnt signals to initiate expression of pax3 in the neural plate border and subsequently regulates gene expression during specification of the neural crest (de Crose et al. 2011).
