cAMP binds the olfactory CNG channel

Cyclic AMP (cAMP) binds the cyclic nucleotide-gated channel (CNG channel) of the olfactory epithelium (Young and Krougliak 2004, Nache et al. 2005, Nache et al. 2012, Nache et al. 2016). The olfactory CNG channel contains two Cnga2 subunits, one Cnga4 subunit, and one Cngb1 subunit. Each of the subunits contains a cAMP-binding domain (Young and Krougliak 2004).
