Runx2:Cbfb:p-Y-Yap1 binds the Bglap gene promoter
In rat osteosarcoma cell line, used as a model for osteoblast differentiation, the complex of Runx2, presumably associated with Cbfb, and Yap1, phosphorylated on an unknown tyrosine residue by Src and/or Yes1, binds the promoter of the Bglap (osteocalcin) gene, leading to inhibition of Runx2-mediated Bglap transcription (Zaidi et al. 2004).
