Activated ERKs phosphorylate Runx2
Recombinant mouse Runx2-P1 isoform is phosphorylated by recombinant activated ERK1 (MAPK3) on conserved serine residues S301 and S319 (Ge et al. 2009), which correspond to serine residues S286 and S304 in Runx2-P2 isoform. The species of the recombinant commercial ERK1 used in the mouse study was not specified and it is assumed to be human derived.
