Signal Peptidase (Canis) hydrolyzes the signal peptide of Preprolactin
The signal peptide is cleaved by the signal peptidase complex, which contains 5 subunits. Based on homology with bacterial signal peptidases the SEC11A and SEC11C subunits are believed to be the actual proteases. The reaction shown here was demonstrated in vitro.
