Gata3 binds the Lhx1 gene
Gata3 binds a region about 7.6 kb upstream of the Lhx1 transcription start site (Boualia et al. 2013). Pax2 initially binds and activates expression of Lhx1 in the intermediate mesoderm, then Gata3 binds the Lhx1 gene in the developing nephric duct (Boualia et al. 2013).
