Expression of Msgn1 in paraxial mesoderm
Tbx6 and Lef1:Ctnnb1 bound to the Msgn1 promoter act synergistically to promote transcription of Msgn1 (Wittler et al. 2007, Chalamalasetty et al. 2011, Campbell et al. 2022). Msgn1 is expressed in unsegmented paraxial mesoderm but expression ceases in nascent somites (Yoon et al. 2000).
