Expression of Smyd1 (Bop) in cardiogenesis
The Smyd1 (Bop) gene is transcribed to yield mRNA and the mRNA is translated to yield Smyd1 protein. Transcription of Smyd1 is directly activated by Mef2c during cardiogenesis (Phan et al. 2005).
