Transcription of Ddit3
The Ddit3 gene is transcribed to yield mRNA (Harding et al. 2000, Harding et al. 2003, Zhang et al. 2019). Transcription of Ddit3 is activated by Atf4 in response to certain stresses (Harding et al. 2000, Harding et al. 2003), including heme deficiency, which acts via the integrated stress kinase Eif2ak1 (HRI) (Zhang et al. 2019).
