PolyUb-Misfolded Proteins:Hdac6 dissociate from complex
Misfolded proteins are poly-ubiquitinated and bind a complex comprising of Transitional endoplasmic reticulum ATPase (Vcp), Histone deacetylase 6 (Hdac6), Heat shock protein HSP 90 (Hsp90) and Heat shock factor protein 1 (Hsf1). This binding causes the dissociation of the complex resulting in Hdac6 bound-ubiquitinated proteins and a complex of Hsp90:Hsf1 (Boyault C et al. 2007).
