Cd19 is phosphorylated

In response to BCR activation, Cd19 in a stable complex with Vav1 (Fujimoto et al. 1999) is phosphorylated by Src kinases (Buhl and Cambier 1999, Xu et al. 2002, Ishiura et al. 2010), one of which may be Lyn (Fujimoto et al. 2000). Cd19 is required for activation of Btk, indicating that phosphoinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PIP3) generated by phosphoinositide 3-kinase (Pi3k) bound to phosphorylated Cd19 recruits Btk to the plasma membrane (Buhl and Cambier 1999).
