Dlx5,(Dlx6) binds Runx2 gene promoter
Mouse Dlx5, activated in response to Bmp2 signaling, binds three sites in the mouse Runx2 gene promoter (Lee et al. 2005). Based on several studies, Dlx6 is suggested to be redundant with Dlx5 in the regulation of Runx2 expression (Robledo et al. 2002, Holleville et al. 2007, Barron et al. 2011) and is therefore shown as a candidate transcriptional regulator of Runx2.
