Hoxd1 gene is transcribed

The Hoxd1 gene is transcribed to yield mRNA (Pitera et al. 2001, Wolf et al. 2001, Zakany et al. 2001, Guo et al. 2011). The Hoxd1 gene is expressed in caudal lateral mesoderm, prosomeres p2 and p3, dermatomes, urogenital tubercle, gut endoderm, and tail bud (Pitera et al. 2001, Wolf et al. 2001, Zakany et al. 2001).
