Znt7 transports zinc into the golgi apparatus

The mouse SLC30A7 gene encodes Znt7 and is detected in many tissues such as liver, kidney, heart and brain by Northern blot analysis. Stable expression of Znt7 in CHO cells results in zinc accumulation in the golgi apparatus (Kirschke CP, Huang L, 2003).
