The FBXL3:CUL1:SKP1:RBX1 SCF E3 ligase complex polyubiqutinylates unknown lysine residues in CRY1 and CRY2 (inferred from mouse homologs). Multiple lysines on CRY1 appear to be capable of being ubiquitinylated (inferred from mouse homologs). The linkage between ubiquitin residues in the polyubiquitin chains occurs at lysine-48 (K48) of the ubiquitin (Hirano et al. 2013).
