Expression of CDH2 (N-cadherin) is increased upon CRISPR- or siRNA-mediated knockdown of MITF-M in melanoma cells. Upregulation of CDH2 was confirmed by RT-qPCR and by Western blot analysis (Dishat et al, 2021). CUT-and-RUN and ChIP-seq analysis shows that MITF-M binds to the CDH2 gene region and cognate binding sites are identified by motif analysis (Dilshat et al, 2021; Laurette et al, 2015).
