The CALCRL:RAMP2 receptor bound to ADM binds the Gs alpha subunit of the heterotrimeric G protein complex G alpha s:G beta:G gamma (Weston et al. 2016, Woolley et al. 2017, Inoue et al. 2019, Liang et al. 2020, RoehrKasse et al. 2020). Activation of the CALCLR:RAMP2 receptor (AM1 receptor) results in synthesis of cAMP and activation of CREB and ERK (Garelja et al. 2020).
