Expression of the anti-apoptotic factor BIRC7 is regulated in melanoma and melanocyte cells by the binding of MITF-M to two consensus regions in its promoter (Dynek et al, 2008; Strub et al, 2007; reviewed in Goding and Arnheiter, 2019).
