PTPN6, also known as SHP1, is a protein tyrosine phosphatase that is repressed in cutaneous T-cell lymphomas and ALK+ T-cell lymphomas in a manner that depends on STAT3, HDAC1 and DNMT1 (Zhang et al, 2005).
