The regulatory p85 subunit of PI3 kinase binds to phosphorylated tyrosine 753 in the intracellular domain of the LTK receptor and recruits the catalytic subunit (shown in one step in this reaction). PI3K signaling contributes to cell survival, possibly through the phosphorylation of S473 of AKT (Ueno et al, 1997; Yamada et al, 2008).
