GIPC1 binding to FGF2:TGFBR3 is essential for the FGF2 medaited neuronal differentiation (Knelson et al., 2013). Site-directed mutagenesis in epicardial cells (Sanchez et al, 2011) show the important of GIPC1 and TGFBR3 in enhancing FGF2:FGFR1 signaling.
